Avian Influenza

Avian influenza viruses (AIV) infect both domestic and migratory birds. The response can range from no clinical signs of the disease to severe symptoms with high mortality. Affected birds may have fever, coughing, breathing difficulty, watery diarrhea ranging from green to white in color, swelling around the eyes, neck, comb and wattle, and dropped egg production.

ProFLOK® AIV Ab

Species: Chicken and Turkey | Sample Type: Serum | Test Time: Less than 2 hours

The ProFLOK® AIV Ab avian influenza virus (AIV) antibody test kit is a sensitive and specific presumptive screening test for the detection of antibody to AIV in chicken and turkey serum samples. This test has been approved by the National Poultry Improvement Plan. Positive results should be confirmed by conventional methodologies.

FluDETECT® Avian

Species: Chicken, Turkey, Duck and Migratory Birds | Sample Type: Tracheal oropharyngeal, or cloacal samples | Test Time: Approximately 15 minutes

The FluDETECT® Avian influenza virus type A antigen test kit is an immunochromatographic assay or Rapid Immuno Migration (RIM™) test. Positive results should be confirmed by conventional methodologies.

FluDETECT® BE

Species: Chicken and Turkey | Sample Type: Serum or plasma | Test Time: Less than 2 hours

The FluDETECT® BE avian influenza virus antibody test kit is an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) designed to aid in the qualitative detection of antibody to avian influenza in chicken and turkey sera. This ELISA has been approved by the National Poultry Improvement Plan. Positive results should be confirmed by conventional methodologies. Negative results indicate that no detectable avian influenza antibodies are is present.
