Enzootic Bovine Leukosis

Enzootic bovine leukosis is caused by a member of the Retroviridae family, bovine leukemia virus (BLV). The clinical signs depend on the organs affected, but the most severe cases cause lymphosarcomas, a cancer of lymphatic tissue. Animals that have lymphosarcomas often die within months of the onset of clinical signs. Those signs can include tumors throughout the body, loss of appetite, weight loss, weakness, fever, abnormal breathing, bulging eyes and partial paralysis of the hind legs.

LACTELISA® BLV Ab Bi Indirect

Sample Type: Milk | Test Time: Long (overnight) or short (less than 3 hours) incubation protocol

The LACTELISA® BLV Ab Bi Indirect test kit is a double-well enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the detection of bovine leukemia virus (BLV) gp51 (envelope glycoprotein) antibodies in nondiluted, individual milk samples or up to 50 skimmed, pooled bovine milk samples. With consideration of threshold values, the presence of BLV gp51 antibodies is assessed by the difference in optical densities between the viral antigen well and the corresponding cellular antigen well.

LACTELISA® BLV Ab Bi Indirect TANK 250

Sample Type: Milk | Test Time: Long (overnight) or short (less than 3 hours) incubation protocol

The LACTELISA® BLV Ab Bi Indirect TANK 250 test kit is a double-well ELISA designed to detect BLV gp51 (envelope glycoprotein) antibodies in milk. Individual or up to 250 pooled milk samples can be used. With consideration of threshold value, the presence of BLV gp51 antibodies is assessed by the difference in optical densities between the viral antigen well and the corresponding cellular antigen well.

LACTELISA® BLV Ab Mono Indirect

Sample Type: Milk | Test Time: Long (overnight) or short (less than 3 hours) incubation protocol

The LACTELISA® BLV Ab Mono Indirect test kit detects BLV gp51 antibodies in milk. This ELISA serves as a screening tool for individual or up to 50 pooled milk samples. All positive results should be confirmed with the LACTELISA® BLV Ab Bi Indirect test kit.

LEUCOSE BOVINE AGID

Sample Type: Serum | Test Time: 24-72 hours

The LEUCOSE BOVINE AGID is designed to detect gp51 (precipitating, viral envelope glycoprotein) antibodies of BLV in bovine serum. It will, to a lesser extent, detect p24 (internal protein) antibodies to BLV. Interpretation of the precipitation lines formed from the agar gel immunodiffusion test (AGID) allows the user to distinguish positive from negative samples or to determine if additional testing is required.

SERELISA® BLV Ab Bi Indirect

Sample Type: Serum | Test Time: Less than 3 hours

The SERELISA® BLV Ab Bi Indirect test kit is a double-well ELISA for the detection of BLV gp51 antibodies in individual serum samples or up to 10 pooled bovine sera. With consideration of threshold values, the presence of BLV gp51 antibodies is assessed by the difference in optical densities between the viral antigen well and the corresponding cellular antigen well.

SERELISA® BLV Ab Mono Blocking

Sample Type: Serum | Test Time: Incubation overnight at +4°C

The SERELISA® BLV Ab Mono Blocking ELISA detects BLV gp51 antibodies in bovine serum. The kit allows the minimum detection of one positively-infected bovine leukosis serum sample in a pool of 10 sera according to European Union regulations.

SERELISA® BLV Ab Mono Indirect

Sample Type: Serum | Test Time: Less than 3 hours

The SERELISA® BLV Ab Mono Indirect ELISA detects BLV gp51 antibodies in bovine serum. The kit is intended to be used as a screening tool for up to 10 pooled sera. All positive results should be confirmed with the SERELISA® BLV Ab Bi Indirect diagnostic kit.
