Infectious Laryngotracheitis

Infectious laryngotracheitis (ILT) is a highly contagious herpesvirus infection in chickens and pheasants caused by Gallid herpesvirus 1, also known as infectious laryngotracheitis virus (ILTV). Clinical signs include severe respiratory illness, gasping, coughing and expectoration of bloody mucus and high mortality.
