Bovine Herpesvirus

Bovine herpesvirus Type 1 (BHV-1) can cause infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR)/infectious pustular vulvovaginitis (IPV), an acute, contagious respiratory disease of cattle commonly affecting the respiratory tract and the reproductive system. The disease is highly contagious, resulting in rapid spread of respiratory disease among cattle in close confinement, particularly in feedlots and when groups of cattle are transported.

SERELISA® BHV-1 gB Ab Mono Blocking

Sample Type: Serum, plasma or milk | Test Time: Long (overnight) or short (less than 2.5 hours) incubation protocol

The SERELISA® BHV-1 gB Mono Blocking test kit detects gB (envelope glycoprotein) antibodies directed against bovine herpesvirus type 1 (BHV-1) associated with infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) and infectious pustular vulvovaginitis (IPV). The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kit can be used with individual bovine serum, plasma or milk samples.
